Renovation of Al-Nabi Hotel Façade – Qom
Al-Nabi Hotel, located in the city of Qom, was designed and executed by Engineer Dehshikhi with a distinctive style and unique character. The project introduced a modern and elegant façade to the hotel, breathing new life into its architecture through the use of innovative materials and advanced techniques.
Initially, the plan for the façade included GFRC panels in the Tabān design, sized 90×90 cm and finished in white. These panels were to be combined with composite frames and brick material to create a refined façade that aligned with the project’s identity.
One of the major challenges of the project was the extended time required for the brickwork. The brick installation, which demanded approximately six months to complete, became a significant obstacle to finishing the project on schedule. Consequently, toward the final stages of GFRC installation, it was decided that all brick sections of the façade would be fully replaced with GFRC elements. This shift not only accelerated the execution process but also enhanced the overall quality of the project.
The Tabān panels used in this project were designed and produced in multiple molds and dimensions. This versatility allowed the design to move toward a parametric approach, meaning the façade could be adapted to create varied and customized patterns according to the project’s specific requirements. In essence, parametric design enabled the creation of innovative and creative façade compositions that matched both the structural and aesthetic characteristics of the project.

The brick-effect panels produced for this project by INAB were manufactured and installed in both perforated and non-perforated forms. This design diversity gave the Al-Nabi Hotel façade distinctive and appealing features. The perforated panels not only provided visual elegance but also contributed to natural ventilation and reduced thermal loads, while the non-perforated panels created a dense and seamless architectural appearance.
