Renovation of Imam Reza (AS) Underpass with Inab GFRC
About the Project
The Imam Reza (AS) underpass was renovated by the Organization for Development and Maintenance of the Holy Shrine to enhance visitor experience, improve safety, beautify the space, and ensure proper ventilation.
The project aimed to create a more comfortable environment for pilgrims while preserving the authenticity and architectural identity of this sacred site, improving both circulation and rest areas for visitors.

In this project, Inab Company acted as the manufacturer and executor of the GFRC panels, designing, producing, and installing the components required for the underpass walls. The use of these panels not only enhanced the architectural beauty and harmony but also contributed to the maintenance and durability of the structure. The successful implementation of this project demonstrates a strong focus on improving the quality of religious spaces and providing better facilities for pilgrims, highlighting the importance of modern methods in the development and upkeep of sacred sites.
GFRC Panels Used
The GFRC panels used in this project are Inab’s “Rezvan” design, available in dimensions of 40×40 cm, 56×56 cm, and 56×18 cm. Their design is inspired by traditional and religious motifs. These panels were custom-made with high precision to harmonize with Islamic architecture and contribute to creating a spiritual and aesthetically pleasing environment within the underpass.
Unique features of these panels—including high strength, resistance to various weather conditions, lightweight properties, and the ability to execute complex designs—made them an ideal choice for this project. Additionally, the special design of these panels not only enhances visual beauty but also improves ventilation and lighting within the space. The use of these GFRC panels exemplifies the application of modern technologies in religious architecture, achieving a balance between authenticity, quality, and longevity.
